Welcome to the
Enchanted Forest
(hill)!!

Picture

Our summer "fun" school began May 24th and will end the 2nd of June! Check out some of our FUN learning activities!!

Day 1 began with a "fractured" version of the Three Little Bears. Did you know Goldilocks is BIG on selfies?? Different points of view are a BIG part of our summer fun camp!! The lunch theme today was: This is "NACHO" house Goldilocks!! Our day ended with a "selfie" craft in the auditorium. Paint, GLITTER, and glue were MANDATORY for this FUN craft!

Day 2 began with a meeting in the Enchanted Forest.
(our school auditorium)
Excellent predictions were made and the children discovered today's fairy tale is: Hansel and Gretel!! Mornings are for group learning, lunch, and the crafting! Oh what FUN!!

Thursday's fun was all about Rumplestiltskin! He is the man ALL about spinning straw into gold.  So naturally, pizza topped with "golden" cheese was served for lunch! Friendship bracelets were the craft of the day!
Thursday, May 24th was also Red Nose Day! The Summer Fun School Teachers had FUN with that too! Thank you Mrs. McMahon for a great treat!

Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks.....
Thursday was A
LL about baseball and The Frog Prince.  We learned girls can do anything boys can do AND it is always right to stick to your promise!! Follow through and keep your promises- friends will know they can depend on you!
Hot dogs, chips, and cracker
jacks were served for lunch!

Check us out! We are practicing our fairy tale voices!!

Tuesday's fun was all about Cinderella.  Did you know the stepmom wasn't really wicked? Did you know Cindy liked to talk, A LOT? That's what we learned today in our fractured version! Lunch was spaghetti and meat"BALLS".  You know- because Cindy went to a "BALL"!!!

Wednesday was all about Jack and the Beanstalk! We learned the giant LOVES to eat little children!! AHHHH! We decided we would Jada-stew, Makayla milkshakes, Melvin-pie, and Cameron salad for lunch!  Not really....we just LOVE using our imaginations!!! Quiz-Quiz-Trade and working on writing the date correctly was what our afternoon session was all about! We HEART this summer fun camp!

Sadly the last day of Summer Fun Camp has come and gone. MUCH fun was had, and a lot of learning too! Different fairy tale scenes were recreated, improv style! The students did a GREAT job!!
 Many even dressed the part!!
These students decided to dress up on the last day of camp! Can you guess the character they chose?
Ms. Miller challenged Mary Ann to a mini fitness contest! Can you guess who won? Ms. Miller wants a rematch in August when the new school year begins!!
